How does he rate himself

Here is this little interview he did  a week ago. Translation by my son Miki.

So the host asks him:

H: "If you were to score yourself as a singer, how many points out of 100 would you say you are?"

JDH: "If I am tough on myself, I would like to give myself 50 points."

H: "Aren't you are being too hard on yourself?"

JDH: "Then I will say 60 points"

H:  "Haha. You can go higher"

JDH: "70 points"

H:  "Hahahahaha. So what about the left 30 points...?"

JDH:  "Those are the parts I still need to unlock. If you achieve perfection, that's the end, right? In all honesty."

And now to something completely different

Who would have thought, huh? The video below provides a surprising contrast to the one preceding it. Just shows Dongha's versatility. He is fearless, and continuously challenges himself.

Tour 2015 ends. Dong Ha sings Barry Manilow. Fans cry.

The very, very very last concert of 2015 Tour, 10-25-2015. It was an encore concert, an extra one, after the regular scheduled concerts were very well attended.
Dongha sang Barry Manilow. Love was in the air.

My sources told me, that there were some crying fans. They were just sad the tour was ending. This particular tour was so well thought of, well organized, and well promoted.  I give thumbs up to the Evermore Music, and of course to the Korean fans. Of course, Dongha gave his 110% at every concert, but that's just his way, nothing unusual. He lives on stage.

The long awaited new OST

From the drama D-Day. Very nice piece, with full orchestra. Nicely recorded. I give it a 10. Dong Ha uses a more soft voice, in line with the character of the song. He doesn't overpower it. Great. I like his voice here, and love the instrumentation of this song.

Question: "What is one of your charms?"

JDH  Answer : "Uhmm....my smile"
The question was asked 6 years ago by Arirang station staff member. The answer still stands today!

"Sloppy Jung"

On stage. No comment.

He and his fans (inspired by Anna)

"Love and devotion are ageless" said Anna. She wrote these words in response to me expressing embarrassment about being old, and being so enchanted/captivated by Jung Dong Ha. I will  be always grateful to Anna for saying this so very firmly. It made me feel much less of a weird idiot.
Anna is 83 years old.  She lives in Hungary, far, far away from Korea. She also stated quite boldly:
"I am elderly, and I am crazy about Jung Dong Ha!"

Thanks to the Internet , I have experienced the joy of being able to share my love of Jung Dong Ha with other fans, throughout the World!!!! They don't ask what my age is!!! As soon as I posted a couple times on his FB Fan Page, and also on you tube, people contacted me, and wanted to be my friend, because we like the same singer. My friends who are fans of Jung Dong Ha include these countries (in random order):

HUNGARY........   1 FAN  83 YRS OLD
TUNISIA...........  1 FAN  18 YRS OLD
EGYPT..............  1 FAN  25 YRS OLD
HONG KONG ..... 1 FAN  29 YRS OLD
PHILIPPINES.....   1 FAN unknown age
MALAYSIA........  1 FAN unknown age
ROMANIA.......... 1 FAN unknown age
TURKEY............ 1 FAN unknown age
Myself, I live in the USA, but I am Polish originally. So, yes, dear Jung Dong Ha, you have overseas fans in far away places. I know you have fans in South America, France and Great Britain (from You Tube comments).

Naturally, majority of the fans are Korean, but there is quite a number from all over the South Asia region. He has his own Japan Fan Club, and he gave concerts twice in Japan. The Japan Fan Club posted a rare performance of  "This Is The Moment" from musical Jekyll and Hide (thank you Anna,  for letting me know about it). The Japanese fans are very dedicated, and come to concerts in Korea, bringing him flowers and gifts.

Being on Immortal Song 2 TV program is a blessing in itself, because even if he doesn't win it many times, he has been known all over all those countries where the KBS broadcasts.
Korean fans, do a wonderful job spreading the love all over the You Tube (this is  how I discovered him), and other video hosting sites.  Fans post every single appearance of him performing at special events, and  concerts tours, and they run a Face Book Page, as well as a message board in Korean.
They publish hundreds of his pictures, which they take themselves, and which are really good at capturing his various facial expressions, hand gestures, and body poses, LOL! No, really, the pictures are excellent, much better that professional photo shoots!

Fans love him, support him, and speak very highly of him. Just like myself, they are overcome with emotions, when listening to his voice and that's the source of  the love. It's all about music. At least, should be.

In return, Dongha, quite frequently makes himself available for the fans, especially throughout the year 2015. This is his second year as a solo singer, and while he had a few official meetings with fans for his CD signing, and his 10th Anniversary, he also went out of his way, to come to the fans waiting before or after events, and greet them, shake their hands, say thank you. Always nice, always sweet.

                                                                                  ♥  ♥  ♥
I often ponder about what Dongha's attitude is towards the fans...How does he feel, seeing that his fans are mostly adoring women, and not the youngest at that. Does he feel good and grateful, to hear them scream, and display those loving messages on their smart phone screens??? Does he cringe, leaving the TV studio, and seeing the fans waiting for him at the parking lot? Does he want to run away? I wonder too, if any fans crossed the line already, and tried to invade his private life? My guess is, yes, some probably did.
But I have to say, having seen multiple videos of Dongha's encounters with fans, that there is a great deal of respect for him as a person, and I have not seen any grabbing or inappropriate behavior. I would say that the Korean fans are also very reserved or restrained, when exchanging comments about Dongha. I'm saying this, just based on many Google Translates that I have done, so that may be not quite true. I have not encountered any sexually aggressive (intrusive) written remarks, that would speak of him as a piece of meat.
I am not aware about any fan-fic, either. Maybe there exist such not-so-tame sites dedicated to him, but I am very fortunate to not know about them. That's the great blessing of being a fan of someone "exotic". I prefer not to know about things I don't want to know.

While doing research for this post, I found some reports that fans made about one of the performances. Dong Ha apparently changed some song lyrics, and replaced it with the words: "Even though fans call me Imperfect Jung, but my love for the fans is perfect". Awww, he is so darn cheesy.

The video below is from 10-20-2015,recently posted, event in Busan. Funny how he looks so girly, with a lot of make-up on. Fans showing is impressive.

Jeju, Oct.2, 2015

I don't know what to comment, other than "I like this video, and this song". One of those "I want to go back to this, whenever I'm in the mood". The song is about rain, and how rain reminds him of the one who abandoned him long time ago. He screams in agony, because that memory is so painful,
it's just killing him!

It's an old Korean hit, and Dongha has been singing all throughout this year at concerts. Every time, he screams it a little differently. I hope he won't ruin his vocal chords.
