THE RIVAL !

홍광호 Hong Kwang Ho. He is the rival of Jung Dong Ha for my heart. He was my original Korean "voice of an angel" discovery. I will put him here, because he paved the road for me to search more deeply into Korean singers. The search that ended in my betrayal, because I became infatuated with Dongha, and abandoned Hong. I don't want to forget him though, because I consider Hong my muse, and my breath taking auditory bliss.   

Hong Kwang Ho is mostly a musical actor/singer, although he had his beginnings in singing pop. He has a group of faithful fans, but he is absolutely not as visible, or as well known as Dongha. He does not work as hard for his singing career. But, he can play saxophone! Wow! 

Recently, he even completely disappeared, after having spent about 1.5 year in London, cast as Thuy in famous musical "Miss Saigon", and after a few weeks last Summer in Korean musical  "Death Note".  As of now, he is even more difficult to find, and I'm told he returned to graduate school. I'm not sure what that means, other than he is not singing anything.

So, to keep memory alive , I am posting a few of my favorite videos of him. He still sparks my interest, he was my first Korean "love", and these performances  still make my heart beat faster.

Hong Kwang Ho is phenomenal !!! If any American singer sang like him, they would be a global star.

Hello NEW YEAR 2016! A year ago I posted this on my FB, with a caption :"Goodbye, goodbye Year 2014, I'm waving goodbye to you (I couldn't resist)."

The 2015 was very good for him, he established a very strong place in the Korean entertainment, and he was in excellent vocal form the majority of the time.

This was the last concert of 2015, December 31st, "Winter Wonderland". I love his voice. Thank you Dongha; you make so many people happy in many corners of the World. We are so blessed to have you.
