Clarification: I named my blog after the song "Met You By Chance" JDH performed in May 2014. I never really met the guy. I "met him by chance" on Youtube.
Now, October 2014 I'm starting to write these ramblings because I want to sort out my thoughts and feelings about 정동하 - Jung Dong Ha, a South Korean singer who won me by storm sometime in February 2014.
I will be musing about him, make remarks about his voice, his talent as a performer, his looks, and basically everything.
I'm a FAN again!

This was the beginning of Dong Ha's run on The King Of Masked Singer show, in August 2016. Even though he put effort into hiding his identity using a raspy/gritty voice, many fans immediately recognized him. But some people were still confused. 😲 Soon it was obvious it was him behind the "Hurray Radio" mask. His face was hidden, his voice was changed, but he couldn't control his body moves, and was recognized by them. 💖 He gave us so much excitement for many weeks, becoming The King, and staying king for many weeks to come!
Speaking of theatrics, it looks like Dongha learned that from Boohwal. Ha!Ha!

I think, at some point Jung Dongha had outgrown the band. I am glad he went solo. It was a natural progress of things. I know there are fans who still mourn the split between Dongha and Boohwal. There are even those who could not accept it, and are not fans of Dongha, because to them Boohwal and Dongha were like one , unbreakable unit. The fact they went their separate ways after 9 years together was too shocking. I have no memories, and no nostalgia for those first years of Dongha's music career. I only found him shortly after he became a solo singer. I am amazed by him, and I love watching how he is evolving, and growing.
PS. I just realized I posted a Thursday blog on a Wednesday! I got mixed up.
What a great run in that singing contest on TV. Jung Dong Ha is the winner four times in a row. It's very well deserved, with every performance just fascinating! Contrary to the circulating rumors, he was not de-throned after three times on the show - he won the 4th time, and is still THE KING.
